About Sussex Steel
Sussex Steel is a charity (CIO) created by individuals who are passionate about steelpan and committed to increasing the musical opportunities for people in Sussex and beyond. Our goal is to make steelpan accessible to everyone. We set up and run steel bands in various schools and run Sussex Steel professional, youth, minis, community and adult beginner bands. We are currently setting up a new community band in Brighton.
We are pleased to be supported by The Arts Council, Littlehampton Town Council, Day Aggregates, Groundwork, Littlehampton Lions Club, Technologies and Solutions, Motorrent, Neil Oxley, Blue Lizard Signs, West Sussex Music and British Association of Steel bands.
